Forest of Happiness’ activity for Supalai’s 35th Anniversary, in 2024, in Pathum Thani and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces

29 October 2024

In 2024, Supalai organized the ‘Forest of Happiness’ activity to celebrate the 35th anniversary of its business operations, under the commitment to restore green areas, promote biodiversity, and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through tree planting in Pathum Thani and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces. The initiative began with the selection of suitable areas for the restoration and growth of perennial trees, in collaboration with communities, local authorities, and volunteers. Native and perennial tree species with environmental value were chosen, such as those that absorb carbon dioxide, provide shade, and serve as wildlife habitats. The outcomes included the addition of 4,280 trees in the two target provinces, corresponding to a reduction of 560 kg CO2e of greenhouse gas emissions per year, including employees, business partners, volunteers, and local communities. This activity supports long-term carbon sequestration, strengthens relationships with local communities, and raises environmental awareness among employees and stakeholders. Therefore, this project serves as a clear example of integrating social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and sustainable business practices.
