The SUPALAI SELF-PROVED project measures the amount of construction waste generated from the company’s various projects

21 November 2025

The company launched the Supalai Self-Proved or Supalai Waste Meter project at the pilot site, Supalai Park Ekkamai–Phatthanakan, focusing on environmentally friendly construction processes by measuring and strictly controlling the amount of construction waste to remain below the specified standards. The company’s operational guidelines for this project are as follows:

  • Reduce – Reduce the use of construction materials by utilizing shop drawings to accurately calculate pipe quantities, using made-to-order pipes, four-way pipes, and seamless fire protection piping systems, which help reduce pipe waste equivalent to several hundred kilometers. Additionally, design spaces to fit tile dimensions precisely in order to minimize leftover materials.
  • Reuse – Reuse materials, such as replacing wooden pallets with reusable plastic pallets, thereby reducing wood usage equivalent to more than 18,157 trees.
  • Recycle – Convert leftover materials into new products, for example, using concrete scraps to make road sub-bases, weaving construction strapping into baskets, turning lightweight brick scraps into flower pots, or sewing vinyl banners into bags.

Project Outcomes

This project demonstrates that environmentally friendly or “green” construction is truly achievable by transparently sharing results through systematic measurement methods and encouraging various sectors to participate in validating the outcomes in practice. It serves as a starting point for developing a Low Carbon Organization and reflects a genuine commitment to reducing environmental impacts throughout the construction process.
