Sourcing raw materials and applying technology in the production process and product innovation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
The Company places importance on sourcing raw materials and using technology that supports greenhouse gas emission reduction at every stage of construction and project development. The Company selects environmentally friendly materials, such as those certified with Green Label or environmental labels from manufacturers, recycled materials, and materials with low volatile organic compound (Low VOC) content, which help reduce air pollution and health impacts on users.
In addition, Supalai applies modern innovations and technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce carbon emissions during construction, such as using hydraulic concrete systems that reduce cement consumption and CO2 emissions during production, applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to improve accuracy, reduce waste, and efficiently manage materials, as well as using energy-efficient machinery and equipment on site.
Activities in sourcing raw materials and applying technology that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions include:
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the production and transportation of materials, which fall under Scope 3 emissions, helps mitigate environmental impacts at the upstream of the supply chain.
- Reducing construction waste while increasing the proportion of reused and recycled materials to minimize the consumption of new resources.
- Supporting sustainable construction in accordance with Green Building standards and the organization’s Net Zero carbon emission targets.
- Creating shared value with partners and suppliers in the supply chain by encouraging improvements in production processes and operations to be more environmentally friendly.
