Supalai Public Company Limited, one of Thailand’s leading property developers, has strengthened its commitment to sustainable growth by signing a 2.242 billion baht Sustainability-Linked Loan (SLL) agreement with Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited. The financing will support the development of two residential projects while reinforcing the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy, enhancing environmental management and supporting long-term business resilience.

Mrs.Siriporn Wangsapar, Assistant Managing Director of Accounting and Finance (Chief Financial Officer) said the agreement marks another important milestone in integrating sustainability into the company’s business strategy. "The financing will support residential developments that prioritise energy efficiency, resource optimisation and expanded green spaces, enabling residents to enjoy a better quality of life while reducing environmental impacts," she said. Supalai has also reaffirmed its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, in line with Thailand's and the international community's sustainable development objectives.

The loan will finance two residential developments with a combined investment value of 2.242 billion baht: Supalai Loft Tha Phra Interchange, a condominium project located just 150 metres from MRT Tha Phra Station in Bangkok's Thon Buri district, and Supalai Palm Springs Bangna-Srivaree, a low-rise housing project featuring the company's new Romantic Charm series of two-storey detached homes. Both projects have been designed under the Green Living concept, offering energy-efficient homes that help lower utility costs, improve residents' quality of life and support environmentally responsible living, reflecting Supalai's long-standing commitment to sustainable property development.

The Sustainability-Linked Loan is tied to clearly defined sustainability performance targets, including ESG performance and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. The financing framework will enable Supalai to continuously monitor and improve its sustainability performance while reinforcing its strategy of delivering quality developments with lower environmental impacts. The agreement also reflects Krungthai Bank's confidence in Supalai's long-term growth potential and its ability to create sustainable value alongside responsible environmental and social practices.

Mr.Thitiphan Viboonchan, Group Head, Corporate Banking Group 2, Krungthai Bank, said the bank remains committed to serving as a strategic financial partner in supporting clients' transition towards sustainable business operations. "Through our Sustainable Finance Solutions, we help businesses integrate ESG objectives into their corporate strategies using measurable and transparent sustainability indicators,". For this transaction, the Sustainability-Linked Loan is linked to FTSE Russell ESG Scores as well as greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets covering Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, ensuring that sustainability performance is directly connected to long-term business growth.

"This collaboration represents another significant step in Krungthai Bank's role as a Transition Partner for Thailand's real estate sector, an industry that plays a vital role in urban development, quality of life and long-term resource management. We remain committed to leveraging our financial expertise to support businesses in their transition towards a greener economy, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13 on Climate Action. The partnership also reflects Krungthai Bank's mission to move forward together with customers towards a more sustainable future under the concept of '60 Years of Krungthai – Every Step for Millions of Futures',".

Supalai believes the partnership demonstrates the company's commitment to embedding sustainable finance into its business operations while raising the standard of Thailand's property sector in support of the transition to a low-carbon economy. The initiative also reinforces the company's strategy of delivering sustainable long-term growth alongside environmental and social responsibility.
