Use of environmentally friendly materials

19 November 2025

Supalai places importance on selecting environmentally friendly construction and finishing materials to support sustainable project development, minimize impacts on ecosystems, and help reduce both direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions throughout the building’s lifecycle.

The operational approach includes selecting construction materials certified for environmental standards, such as Green Label or Energy Efficiency Label; using materials with recycled content and materials that can be reused to reduce natural resource consumption; choosing paints with low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions to minimize impacts on indoor air quality and occupants’ health; utilizing local materials to reduce carbon emissions from transportation and promote the local economy; and encouraging partners and suppliers to adopt environmentally friendly materials and production processes.

The resulting outcomes include reducing greenhouse gas emissions from material production and transportation (Scope 3 emissions), decreasing construction waste, increasing the use of recycled materials, and improving indoor environmental quality and project site conditions in accordance with Green Building Standards and the organization’s Net Zero targets.
