Surveying and conserving existing mature trees before project development

21 November 2025

The project conducted a comprehensive survey and inventory of existing trees to identify the species, size, and condition of trees designated for preservation. A detailed tree layout plan was prepared to serve as a reference during the design and construction phases. Subsequently, the project layout was adjusted by designing road alignments, buildings, and utility systems to avoid large trees and the existing tree tunnel, thereby preserving the original landscape to the greatest extent possible.

For the 71 large tamarind trees and the tree tunnel, which are distinctive features of the site, strict protection measures were implemented during construction, along with a continuous maintenance plan to ensure the trees remain in good condition. In addition, the water flow system was designed to align with natural drainage paths, allowing water to flow continuously to surrounding agricultural areas without disruption.

During the construction phase, the Company implemented stringent protective measures by establishing Tree Protection Zones (TPZ), installing protective fencing and warning signage, and strictly controlling construction activities near trees to minimize potential damage. These measures were complemented by community engagement through stakeholder consultations, joint conservation activities, and continuous communication of project progress to foster understanding and cooperation.

Upon project completion, ongoing inspections of trees and water systems have been carried out, with maintenance practices adjusted according to actual site conditions to ensure the long-term health and sustainability of trees and the surrounding ecosystem within the project area.
